Christine Lusty grew up in a small logging town in the Pacific North West. Her parents, Gary & Nancy-Lee Noell had been ranchers and serial entrepreneurs her whole life. In 2003 Christine left her home town of Elgin Oregon for the bright lights and bustle of the Bay Area where she studied fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.
After college Christine settled down with her husband in Livermore where she worked at an administrative consultant helping small one & two man businesses organize their administrative processes & procedures.
In 2010 she and her husband welcomed their daughter, Stella. A year later they welcomed their son, Gary. In 2013 Christine started her first company, LusTea. The idea evolved from opening a tea room to making her own teas and eventually bottling tea cocktail mixers. A failure in profit but success as a life lesson, LusTea was disolved in 2016 and Christine returned to consulting.
In 2019 after divorce Christine was struggling to make ends meet as a single income household with two children. The lockdowns of 2020 left Christine, like so many others, without client or income. Not one to be idol for long, Christine was climbing the walls by the end of the first week.
After seeing ads for Ricoma industrial embroidery machines on her Facebook feed all week, she decided it was time for a new business. With the support of her parents and their willingness to co-sign on a single-head industrial embroidery machine, Christine's newest business launched. Monarch Designs is now celebrating it's third year in business.
